The text of a html link (hyperlink) that is visibly displayed, regardless of the link’s actual destination. For example, “Click Here” could be the anchor text that points to the destination: https://ultimatenetsolutions.com. For the purposes of SEO, search engines place greater importance on anchor text that incorporates keywords rather than generic or irrelevant text.
In other words, if your keyword is “make money online,” you might want to use a call to action that links to an offer. You could use the anchor text, “Click Here” but its SEO could be improved by using “Click Here to Make Money Online.”
IMPORTANT: If two or more hyperlinks are used on the same page that point to the same destination, only the anchor text of the first link (in order of appearance) is counted towards SEO, while any others are ignored.
